Our Position

No gambling is offered by AllFantasy. We do not facilitate, operate, host, or profit from any form of real-money wagering. AllFantasy is a management, analysis, and entertainment platform for traditional, season-long fantasy sports leagues.

No DFS or Paid Pick’em

We do not offer daily fantasy sports (DFS) contests, paid pick’em pools, or any product where you pay an entry fee for a chance to win money based on the outcome of a single day or single event. Our tools are built for season-long leagues that you run with people you know.

League Dues and Payouts Are Handled Externally

AllFantasy league creation and league operation are free. If your league uses paid dues, commissioners must manage dues and payouts externally through FanCred. AllFantasy is not the payment or payout processor for league prizes. No gambling, betting, or in-app prize payout systems are offered in AllFantasy.

State Law Compliance

Fantasy sports laws vary by state and are subject to change. AllFantasy enforces the following restrictions automatically based on your location:

Fully Restricted

• Washington: Washington state law classifies all fantasy sports as sports wagering. Operating, offering, or advertising fantasy sports — including free contests — is a Class C felony under Washington law. (RCW 9.46.240 (2016 clarification))

Paid Contests Restricted

• Hawaii: The Hawaii Attorney General determined that paid fantasy sports contests constitute illegal gambling under state law. Free fantasy play is tolerated; paid leagues, entry fees, and prizes are prohibited. (Hawaii AG Opinion 16-1 (January 2016))
• Idaho: Idaho law prohibits all forms of gambling. The Idaho Attorney General confirmed that paid daily fantasy sports constitute illegal gambling. Free fantasy play is tolerated; paid leagues and entry fees are prohibited. (Idaho Code §18-3802; Idaho AG Opinion (May 2016))
• Montana: Montana classifies paid fantasy sports as illegal gambling, despite legalizing traditional sports betting. All major fantasy operators have exited paid contests in Montana. Free fantasy play is tolerated. (Montana Code §23-5-802)
• Nevada: Nevada requires a sports betting license to operate paid fantasy sports. No fantasy sports operator currently holds this license, making paid contests illegal to operate. Free fantasy play is tolerated. (NV Gaming Control Board (Oct 2015) + NV AG Opinion)

Why This Matters to Us

"No gambling" is not a legal footnote for AllFantasy — it is a product decision. We would rather build the best commissioner and manager tools in fantasy sports than chase gambling revenue, and every feature we ship is built with that line in mind.
